will depart our historic Princeville Airport and climb up the Hanalei Valley
where you will escape into a world of lush tropical rain forests, jagged
mountains, sea cliffs, beaches and craters. You will enter the crater of Mt.
Wai'ale'ale (weather permitting) and marvel at the wailing wall with its
numerous waterfalls cascading over 2,000 ft. from the heavens above. You will
head out towards Lihu'e and see the old sugar plantations and cattle ranches.
Here you will see Wailua Falls made famous in the television series "Fantasy
Island" and an ancient mountain range that forms the peculiar shape of a
Sleeping Giant. Fly onward to Hanapepe Valley, the site of Manawaipuni Falls,
known as Jurassic Park Falls, as featured in the epic film Jurassic Park. You
will soar into the Waimea Canyon described by Mark Twain as "The Grand Canyon of
the Pacific." At the base of the canyon is Waimea Bay, where Captain Cook first
landed in 1778. The Alaka'i swamp will pass below you before crossing the
majestic 4,000 ft. sea cliffs of the Na Pali Coast. Enter the spectacular
Kalalau Valley and see the remains of house sites and taro patches from old
Hawaiian civilizations that used to live here. Your return flight passes Bali
Hai, made famous in the movie "South Pacific." During this tour you will see
locations made famous in films such as "Jurassic Park, The Thornbirds and
Indiana Jones."
